About the event

Come join us for an online discussion about the steps you can take to help increase your chances of getting money for your non-profit organization! This time, we're focusing on our youth sports groups that all struggle to ensure they receive enough funding from the local governing body. Even though each situation is different, we can all learn by hearing from someone who's been on the receiving end of these requests.

Sponsor Jawn is excited to welcome Christopher Manero as he joins us this month. A former Council Member and President of Plymouth Township's Council in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (until January 1, 2024), Chris has been part of the local government for 8 years and also served as the Council's Liaison with the Parks and Recreation Department, which oversees the relationship between the Township and numerous youth sports organizations. Chris also coaches varsity baseball at the local high school (Plymouth-Whitemarsh) and has been a teacher for more than 20 years, sharing his knowledge of U.S. Government with his students.

In our call, Chris will share his experiences with local non-profits and discuss, from the Township's perspective, ways the non-profit volunteers can help increase their chances of getting their requests approved. Chris will help highlight or provide ideas to improve the quality of your request and give pointers on steps you should take before you make any request. Other topics will include when the best time is to submit your request, who should be aware of your request, and when you should make them aware that a request will be submitted.

We'll start each session with a chance to meet volunteers like yourself. If you would like to join our panel of experts for this call or have an idea for future calls, please email sponsorjawn@gmail.com.

The meeting link will be shared on the day of the event. We are so excited to have you join us!
